Recently, Mingchuang Technology (Dongguan) Co., Ltd. completed a special waterproof performance test on the B09W2402A waterproof Type-C female connector (24PIN, vertical four-pin through-board SMT, L=8.8, all plastic, silicone dotted). The product has successfully passed the IPX7 waterproof standard certification, which fully verifies the reliability of the product in waterproof technology and structural design, and provides a solid quality guarantee for product delivery in relevant application scenarios.
The core objective of this test was to verify whether the B09W2402A waterproof Type-C female connector meets the IPX7 waterproof standard, and the test was carried out in strict accordance with the standardized process: 5 pieces of samples that passed the air pressure test after reflow soldering were selected, installed and fixed in the water pressure test fixture. The surface of the product with the waterproof rubber ring was aligned with the 0 mark of the depth gauge, and then the fixture was submerged in a special waterproof test barrel at a depth of 1 meter for 30 consecutive minutes. After 30 minutes, the fixture and samples were taken out for observation. It was found that the bottom plate and cavity inside the test fixture remained dry, only a small amount of water stains were found around the red waterproof ring with no water accumulation inside the ring, and the bottom and surrounding areas of the test samples were dry with no water ingress.
Considering that 100% underwater immersion testing of all products cannot be carried out in the production process, the company converted the water pressure test into 100% full inspection with air pressure under tightened standards to further ensure the waterproof quality of mass-produced products. The air pressure test can inspect 4 pieces of products at a time. After the products are placed and fixed in the special fixture, the test is started with a set air pressure value of 25-50KPa (0.25-0.5KG) and a pressure holding time of 15 seconds, with a stable air pressure value without fluctuation as the qualified standard. This air pressure value is equivalent to the water pressure at a depth of 2.5-5.0 meters, far exceeding the 1-meter water pressure (10Kpa) standard required by the IPX7 level, realizing the tightened verification of waterproof performance. The air pressure values of all samples remained stable during the test and all passed the test.
The successful passing of the IPX7 waterproof test by the B09W2402A waterproof Type-C female connector is another achievement of Mingchuang Technology in product process R&D and quality control.
