The waterproof ring must be intact, undamaged, undeformed and non-aging, and the sealing surface must be tightly fitted without misalignment, excessive extrusion or falling off; the panel installation must be designed in strict accordance with the reference size to ensure the accurate assembly position. After assembly, a 1 meter water depth 30 minutes waterproof sealing test must be carried out to ensure that the protection performance meets the standard. It is forbidden to use the product when the waterproof structure is damaged or the assembly is not in place.
Vertical SMT Mounting & Soldering Specifications: The PCB pad size, through-hole aperture and positioning hole position must be designed in strict accordance with the recommended PCB layout in the drawing. Vertical installation does not require slotting to ensure that the product is vertically flush with the PCB surface after mounting, without warping or offset; during SMT mounting, it is necessary to ensure the precise alignment of the 2-pin through-board with the PCB through-holes, and the SMD pins are fully fitted with the pads to avoid mounting offset, pin bending and pad cold solder; the peak temperature of reflow soldering must be strictly controlled within the range of 260℃±5℃, and the high temperature residence time shall not exceed 10 seconds, to prevent thermal deformation of the PA9T/PA46 plastic housing, oxidation of the stainless steel shell plating, and damage to the gold plating layer of the pin contacts, which will affect the product performance and waterproof effect.
Special Specification for High Current Use: The rated maximum current of this product is 5.0A. When using, it is necessary to strictly match the wire with corresponding wire diameter and PCB pad design to ensure the current carrying capacity of the high current transmission path and avoid overload use; when working with high current for a long time, a good heat dissipation design must be done to prevent the product from excessive temperature rise leading to insulation performance degradation, plastic housing aging, waterproof sealing failure and other problems.
PCB Layout & Equipment Adaptation Requirements: PCB pad size, through-hole aperture and positioning hole position must be designed in strict accordance with the product drawing, and sufficient vertical installation space and plug mating operation space must be reserved to avoid physical interference between the product and surrounding electronic components, equipment housing, and PCB board; it is recommended that the PCB layout tolerance be controlled within ±0.05mm to ensure the accuracy of vertical mounting, welding firmness and production yield; the equipment housing opening must strictly match the plug insertion size and the total length of 6.8mm, and the housing thickness design must match the product size to avoid interference damage to the interface during mating.
Mating & Usage Specifications: The male and female connectors must be aligned horizontally during mating, apply force evenly along the axial direction, violent insertion, oblique insertion, shaking insertion and horizontal pulling are prohibited, to prevent bending of the vertical interface pins, shell cracking, internal contact damage, and waterproof structure loosening, and avoid affecting the electrical performance, waterproof performance and service life of the product; it is forbidden to use non-standard, damaged, deformed male plugs with foreign objects for mating to prevent damage to the internal structure of the interface and scratching of the gold plating layer of the contacts.
Tape & Reel Packaging & Automatic Feeding Specifications: This product is packaged in tape & reel, 500PCS/reel. The carrier tape peeling angle must be controlled within the range of 165°-180°. When feeding with a fully automatic mounter, the nozzle position and suction must be strictly controlled to avoid product deformation and pin offset caused by excessive nozzle pressure; after the tape is opened, avoid pulling and bending the carrier tape to prevent abnormal peeling force, product falling off and pin damage, which will affect the feeding efficiency and accuracy.
Environment & Storage Requirements: The product must be stored in a dry, dust-free environment without corrosive gases and strong ultraviolet radiation, the storage temperature is controlled at 5℃~35℃, and the relative humidity is ≤75%. Avoid long-term exposure to high temperature, high humidity, acid and alkali corrosion, salt spray environment to prevent aging of the plastic housing, loss of toughness of the silicone waterproof ring, oxidation of the metal plating, and attenuation of sealing performance; the product should be used as soon as possible after opening, avoid long-term exposed storage affecting the waterproof sealing effect and electrical contact performance.
Adaptation & Selection Specifications: This product is an IP67/IPX7 waterproof 16PIN vertical 2-pin through-board TYPE-C female connector, 6.8mm total length with SMD pins version, which can only be used with matching standard TYPE-C male plugs. The selection must be based on the equipment housing thickness, vertical installation space, waterproof grade and current demand, suitable for high-current fast charging and high-speed data transmission scenarios. It is forbidden to assemble and use with non-standard, customized, size-mismatched male plugs/equipment to prevent problems such as insufficient interface installation, structural damage, waterproof failure, and poor electrical contact.
Transportation & Handling Specifications: During transportation and production turnover, the original packaging must be kept intact. Severe impact, extrusion and dropping of the tape reel are prohibited to prevent carrier tape deformation, product falling off, pin bending deformation, shell bump damage, and waterproof sealing structure damage; anti-static protection must be done during turnover to avoid electrostatic breakdown damage to the internal contacts and plating of the interface.
